Game Objective

The objective of the game is to find all matching pairs from a set of playing cards that has been randomly shuffled. A matching pair consist of two cards that have the same color and rank. For example, the King of Heart and the King of Diamond are a matching pair, since they are both red cards and they are both Kings. Likewise, the 2 of Spade and the 2 of Club are a matching pair, since they are both black cards and they are both 2s.

Basic Rules

After the cards are shuffled and dealt on the screen, simply flip open the cards to find the matching pairs. To flip open a card, tap on any face-down card. To close a card, tap on any face-up card. Since only 2 cards can be open at any given time, it’s important to memorize the location, the color and the rank of previously opened cards. When two face-up cards are a matching pair, the cards are removed from the screen. The game is complete when all matching pairs have been found.

Game Options

Currently, players can choose to play either a 24-cards game or 40-cards game. With the 24-cards game, the objective is to locate 12 matching pairs. The card set consist of the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, and 7 of all 4 suits (Spade, Heart, Diamond and Club). With the 40-cards game, the objective is to locate 20 matching pairs. The card set consist of the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, and 5 of all 4 suits.

Scoring and Leaderboard

The Scoring of the game takes into account the time and the number of moves required to find all matching pairs. The timer starts after the first card is flipped open, and it stops when all matching pairs have been found. The move counter is incremented, each time a card is flipped open. When the game is complete, if the player was logged in to the Game Center, the final score will be posted to the Leaderboard. Players will be able to view their best scores and compete with their friends for the top rankings.

Individual Achievements

For players seeking individual challenges, the game will also award Game Center Achievements based on the number of games completed, and when multiple matching pairs are found in consecutive moves.
